Office of Information Technology Computer Lab

Location

Room 127 Gordon Palmer Hall. Gordon Palmer is the math/psychology building, located on Hackberry Lane between the student health center and the Biology Building.

Availability

The lab is open to all current University students, staff, and faculty. Action cards may be checked at any time.

Hours

This is an extended-hours lab. It is open all the time except the following:

  • Midnight Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday
  • Midnight Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday
  • 7 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (for cleaning)

Equipment

13 Dell Optiplex GX620 Windows XP Workstations: all have 3.4 GHz Pentium D processors with DVD-RW and 3.5 floppy drives; one is wheelchair-accessible.

All printing is done on the CM 2520 printer. This lab is on the Uniprint system. Printing prices are 5¢ per page (black and white) and 15¢ per page (color).

Software

All machines have Microsoft Office 2007, Internet Explorer 6, Maple 11, WS_FTP, X-Win32 (X-windows), SPSS 15.0 for Windows, and The SAS System 9 with OnlineTutor.
